Fan Experience: Today Tagboard and the United States Football League (USFL) announced a partnership to bolster fan engagement across its in-stadium, livestream, and digital properties during the 2022 inaugural season – with the first interactive content being featured as a part of USFL’s inaugural games this past weekend.

Fan Experience with Tagboard

As a part of the partnership, producers at USFL and each of its teams will leverage Tagboard’s cloud-based production platform to produce their live gameday, digital and event experiences. This will include surfacing real-time content as a part of every game, as well as interactive graphics, polls, and trivia – empowering fans to engage with their favorite team simply by scanning a QR code on their phone.

“The USFL is thrilled to partner with Tagboard to engage football fans like never before as we kick off a new era of football,” said Nancy MacDonald, the USFL’s Vice President of Marketing. “Our goal is to deliver a truly unique fan experience, and not only will USFL games be fast-paced on-field, but they’ll also be highly engaging wherever fans may be, with real-time social content, 360° video replays and interactive polls as a part of every game.”

USFL 2022 Season

The USFL’s 2022 season will feature eight teams divided into two divisions, with every game being played in Protective Stadium or Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama. In the North Division are the Michigan Panthers, New Jersey Generals, Philadelphia Stars and Pittsburgh Maulers with the South Division featuring the Birmingham Stallions, Houston Gamblers, New Orleans Breakers and Tampa Bay Bandits.

“USFL is looking to push new boundaries with fan engagement, and that’s exactly what we’re going to accomplish together,” said Nathan J Peterson, the CEO of Tagboard. “USFL is laser-focused on creating stronger fan engagement in stadiums and across digital channels, and it was amazing to see this unique experience come to life at the inaugural games this past weekend!”

The partnership with USFL further builds on Tagboard’s momentum as the cloud production platform of choice for major sports and media organizations looking to drive stronger engagement with fans, while embracing innovative new content formats. NFL Media, CBS, Fox Sports, Turner Sports, Major League Baseball and UFC are just some of the more than 600 partners that now use Tagboard daily to produce their live gameday experiences and stories across linear broadcast and digital channels.
