You can’t spell social interactivity without “Sin City” (fun fact: that’s actually true). Tagboard and Hashtag Sports are teaming up to bring enhanced engagement to the 2022 Hashtag Sports festival in Las Vegas. A partnership that will engage an audience of content creators who seek the latest technology to generate memorable experiences for their fanbase.
With this partnership, producers will leverage Tagboard’s cloud-based production platform to bring the voice of the audience to the conference main stage, Hashtag Sports Awards, and CRTR Con. This will include creating on-stage graphics, Twitter Polls, and real-time sourcing of audience Q&A during panels.
“We’ve had incredible partnerships with Tagboard for past conferences – both in-person and virtual during the pandemic. Their cloud graphics platform allows us to level up the interactivity and engagement of the entire festival” said Emily Black, Hashtag Sports Head of Strategy and Growth. “They are a staple in the #SMSports community and empower us all to be better storytellers and we can’t wait to kick off this year’s event with them.”
The 3-day event connects leaders in sports entertainment who are working 365 days a year to bring their audiences the latest and greatest in content creation. The opening night awards ceremony recognizes those who did it best over the past year. 150 nominees make up the shortlist across a wide range of categories, from “Best Use of Technology” to “Best Sports Betting Content” (Brag alert: This year, Tagboard in collaboration with the Detroit Lions, is honored to be nominated in the category for “Best Broadcast or Stream Experience”!).
“Millions of viewers across the world see Tagboard’s graphics on a nightly basis, and the amazingly talented decision-makers that put those productions together attend the Hashtag Sports event,” said Nathan Peterson, Tagboard CEO. “Not only are we excited to partner with a world-class organization like Hashtag Sports, but we’re equally excited to celebrate these incredible Storytellers and their productions at this year’s event.”
In addition to curated networking experiences, the multi-day conference will host educational workshops, and roundtable discussions – one of which will be hosted by Tagboard, Thursday morning from 9:40-10:15am at the main stage. The panel will be made up of some of the best storytellers in sports media discussing how to create award-winning productions with greater efficiency. We’ll touch on engagement & interactivity in a distracted digital world, hear what goes into creating efficient productions, and hit on methodologies that lead to stacking Emmys on the shelf.
