Comments and Attribution Added to Share It: More Context, More Possibilities

Since its release in the fall of 2024, Share It powered by Tagboard quickly gained popularity across sports stadiums and television broadcasts. The seamless scan, snap, and share process—combined with the ability to bypass social platforms—helped teams across sports, news, and entertainment achieve record-high audience engagement.

At prominent college football bowl games, 14% of attendees uploaded content, with participation reaching the tens of thousands. Audiences have participated in the hundreds of thousands since its launch, and now Share It is getting even better. In addition to uploading media, audiences can now add comments and attribution when submitting their entries. These new features unlock even more possibilities for engaging fans and viewers.

Add Context to Your Image

At its most basic level, adding comments allows audiences to provide context to their submitted photos. For example, if viewers are sharing images of weather conditions in their neighborhood, they can now include a note about where the photo was taken. Additionally audiences can add their own commentary, descriptions, or any other note that elevates the level of engagement.

Ask An Expert

Sometimes, a moment calls for more than just sharing an image—it invites a question. Whether it’s seeking help identifying something in a photo, directing a note to an expert on a panel, or sending a special shoutout with a question for an athlete or celebrity, these interactions work perfectly for an “Ask Me Anything”-style segment.

*It’s important to note that if you only want your audience to share text based responses (questions or comments) you can toggle off image sharing.

Gamify the Engagement

Want to turn fan participation into a fun competition? The comment or attribution sections can be used to gamify the experience. For example, if you’re running a sponsored seat upgrade contest at a stadium, ask fans to include their section, row, and seat number in their submission.

Additionally, the comment and attribution section can be hidden from public display, allowing you to showcase images without revealing any information you don’t want on the video boards.

Meme the Moment

Everyone loves a good meme. Now, you can take a meme-worthy image and invite your audience to get creative by submitting their best captions or edits. Meme segments are already popular on social media, and with Share It, you can bring the fun directly to your audience—without relying on social platforms.

*To ensure a safe and seamless experience, we’ve incorporated built-in safeguards like Safe Search filtering (just as we have on our social feeds) and included a required disclaimer.

These are just a few ways to maximize the new features of Share It powered by Tagboard—and we know you’ll discover even more innovative use cases.
