Barbara McHugh

Senior Vice President of Marketing, MLB

Barbara McHugh is the Senior Vice President of Marketing for Major League Baseball in New York City. In her role, McHugh oversees all aspects of MLB marketing, which includes New Media and Content Marketing, Club Marketing Initiatives, Digital Marketing & Media, Product Marketing, Marketing Analytics and International Events.

In March 2009, McHugh joined MLB’s digital arm, MLB Advanced Media (MLBAM), where she was responsible for its marketing and digital advertising strategies, online ticket sales campaigns, and cross-platform promotion of other e-commerce businesses and digital products, such as MLB.TV and the MLB and MLB Ballpark mobile apps.  

Prior to her time at MLBAM, McHugh worked for the Sports Museum of America, and also spent more than six years in the marketing department at the New York Mets. A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., McHugh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing and a minor in communications from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY.    

Elijah Cone

Director of Political Video, Crooked Media

Elijah Cone is a video and social director with a background in news, politics and sports. He joined Crooked Media as the fifth hire and has overseen different aspects of its video and social products as the company has grown. Some highlights there have included live shows at Radio City Music Hall, an election special series on HBO, and live coverage of the major political events of the Trump presidency. His favorite work practice before COVID-19 hit was to walk around to different producers, start clapping like Jason Garrett, and tell them, “Hey let’s make this thing go viral!”

 

Michael Bucklin, FOX Sports

Vice President, FOX Sports Digital

Michael Bucklin serves as Vice President, FOX Sports Digital, where he manages the production, distribution and strategic integration of content across digital platforms including the new FOX Sports app and FOXSports.com, as well as FOX Sports social media, video and audio channels. His team develops content to complement FOX Sports’ world-class rights portfolio, including the Super Bowl, FIFA World Cups and FIFA Women’s World Cups, World Series, top-level college football and Daytona 500, along with the network’s award-winning studio programming, such as FOX NFL SUNDAY, SKIP & SHANNON: UNDISPUTED and more. 

With a roster of more than 250 broadcast and multimedia personalities, FOX Sports’ digital department serves industry-leading personality and perspective for the modern American sports fan. During the sports pause caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Bucklin’s team created work-from-home streaming solutions, safely producing, recording and distributing more than 800 hours of original television to FS1 from isolated garages and apartments throughout Los Angeles.



Catherine Chan-Smith

Senior Director of Social Integration, NFL Media

As Senior Director of Social Integration for the NFL, Catherine is the strategic architect of NFL Media Group’s award-winning Social Integration department. She leads a team whose focus includes merging social content with live stream and linear programs, innovating interactive storytelling experiences and applications, programming social content for the NFL Media Group’s show handles, and supporting the NFL Talent Social Media Initiative. 

Catherine is a founding member of the NFL Network and has an extensive cross-platform background in both digital and broadcast sports production and storytelling. Prior to joining the NFL, Catherine worked in Bristol, CT with ESPN contributing to SportsCenter and their NFL programming. Catherine lives in her hometown of Los Angeles, California with her husband and is a proud mom of two very active kids—Maddie and Ryan.

Karen Horn

VP of Research & Growth, Altice News & Advertising

Karen is the VP of Growth and Research at Altice News and Advertising, where she leads Cheddar and News 12 use of data, innovation, and a little bit of guesswork, to grow their linear and digital audience. Before Cheddar and News 12, Karen helped strategize a couple of small projects for Disney, now known as ESPN+ and Disney+.

Eric Yee, UFC Social Media Manager

Eric Yee

Social Media Manager, UFC

As the social media manager for UFC, Eric Yee was one of a handful who lived on UFC’s #FightIsland to stage fights amidst the pandemic. During the #Storyteller experience, he’ll share an inside perspective you can’t get anywhere else and dive into his experience producing and managing live content for UFC, as well as social for the man himself, @danawhite.

Dan Cho

VP of Social & Digital Marketing, WarnerMedia

Dan Cho is the VP of Social & Digital Marketing at TNT, TBS, and TruTV.  Prior to that he worked at various digital agencies including Moxie Interactive where he helped develop their social media practice. Dan graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He currently lives in Atlanta, GA.



TJ Adeshola

Head of U.S. Sports Partnerships, Twitter

TJ leads all U.S. Sports Partnerships at Twitter, after spending the previous few years managing Twitter’s partnerships with major U.S. sports leagues, including the NFL, NBA, and MLB. He is responsible for helping Twitter’s sports partners answer the question “how do we leverage the power of Twitter to achieve our business objectives?”. He advises sports properties who look to Twitter to reach new audiences, monetize their video content and innovate.

TJ has been recognized for his expertise on sports trends across the industry and digital landscape. He is recognized as an authority on digital sports media, with appearances on ESPN, NBA TV, CNBC, NFL Network, and the Wall Street Journal. He was recently recognized by the Sports Business Journal as 40 under 40, and named one of 29 “Young Influentials” by AdWeek.

Before joining Twitter in 2012, TJ worked on digital sales and marketing at ESPN where he supported the company’s digital properties, including ESPN.com and WatchESPN.

Nate Loucks

VP of Production & Strategy, WWE

Nate Loucks is the VP, Production & Strategy for WWE’s Advanced Media Group where he focuses on original content across all social & digital platform as well as WWE Network. Prior to that he served as the VP of Original Content at Whistle Sports where he focused on merging the worlds of powerful independent creators and legacy sports organizations including MLB, NFL, EPL, YouTube Premium, Nickelodeon, NBC Sports & more. Nate graduated from the Park School of Communication at Ithaca College, and currently resides in Stamford Connecticut with his wife, baby & two dogs.

Youyoung Lee

Senior Manager of Media Partnerships, Reddit

Youyoung Lee is Senior Manager of Media Partnerships at Reddit, where she leads relationships with news, entertainment, gaming and sports partners. Previously, she worked in audience development and editorial at VICE, Hearst and HuffPost. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and was a Tow-Knight Fellow in Entrepreneurial Journalism at CUNY Graduate School. She also has learned to play epic hits like “Everything in its Right Place” and “Halo” on her piano during COVID lockdown.

Larry Jackson

Head of Content, Apple Music

Larry Jackson has single-handedly changed the way we listen to music. He joins the virtual #Storyteller stage to discuss his latest music industry innovation, Verzuz – the popular entertainment series that pits producers, songwriters and artists against each other in a rap battle style format on Instagram Live and Apple Music.

A music industry veteran, Jackson was the connector for Verzuz, bringing Twitter into the mix with Swizz and Timbland to make the series one of the most interactive experiences in entertainment.
