Sr. Frontend Engineer

We are looking for a person who brings passion, proven results, a positive attitude, and a general knowledge of the SaaS or social media industry, with a side of media, entertainment, or sports experience (or the ability to learn it, fast). 

 

You are the right person if you’re a self-starter who’s able to work both autonomously and collaboratively on projects. You find joy in taking a feature spec and turning it into reality. Ultimately, you want to work with talented people, brands and a wide variety of industries to create meaningful experiences that help tell a story. As a Senior Frontend Engineer you will work with the Product and Engineering team, under the Chief Product Officer.

 

Your Day to Day Journey at Tagboard will provide adventure, excitement, and some of the below:

 

- You have strong proficiency with modern Node.js/JavaScript/CSS/HTML coding, testing, and debugging

 - You are proficient in any of the modern front-end frameworks (Vue 2, React, Angular). We rely primarily on some of the following: Vue, SASS/SCSS, REST APIs, CSS animations, and building scalable and reusable component-based UIs.

 - You have used JIRA, Confluence, Github, Trello, or another system to track, and report out progress on feature work.

 - Care about web technologies, user experience, and design.

 - Ability to organize and structure the code base with experience developing modular and maintainable applications

 - Strong problem-solver, you must be able to put forward multiple design options and iterate to find the most elegant solution

 - You are comfortable working in an agile environment and can challenge yourself and your team to improve their ways of working

 - You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and can communicate your ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences

 - Proud about what you do, and have a high interest in keeping up with current best practices in your areas of expertise.

 - Energetic willingness to roll-up-your-sleeves and do whatever it takes

 - Excellent attention to detail, highly entrepreneurial, creative, open-minded, persistent, and highly collaborative

 

To succeed, you will likely need these qualifications: 

 

 - 5+ years as a software engineer, particularly with a focus on building and building within scalable frontend architectures

 - Knowledge of, and experience designing with CSS/SASS and CSS animations.

 - A solid foundation in design, color, and layout, and the creativity to build visualizations that stand out.

 - Experience working with sockets and streaming architecture

 - Proud about what you do, and have a high interest in keeping up with current best practices in your areas of expertise.

 - You must be able to put forward technical solutions that are well architected and negotiated to solve problems

 - You are comfortable working in an agile environment and can challenge yourself and your team to improve their ways of working.

 - Energetic willingness to roll-up-your-sleeves and do whatever it takes.

 - Deals well with constant change and high levels of ambiguity (we are a startup!). 

 - Have worked as part of a remote-first engineering team

 - A BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering is desirable, but not required

Talent Acquisition Specialist

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will build Tagboard's talent acquisition infrastructure while maintaining a culture of excellence through program management, relationship building and active listening. You will build and execute hiring strategies that will identify and attract diverse candidates for our team by collaborating with our executive team and  hiring managers, to understand the hiring needs.

 

What you will do day to day:

 

 - Help initiate creative and scalable changes to our existing recruiting strategy

 - Partner closely with hiring managers  to understand their hiring objectives and develop team talent acquisition strategies to hit our headcount goals

 - Manage full cycle recruiting for multiple, complex searches, creating innovative sourcing strategies and engagement to bring the best talent to each role

 - Develop strategic plans for sourcing candidates with diverse backgrounds for each of your roles

 - Regularly manage pipeline activity and maintain data integrity, and proactively share data-centric updates with internal stakeholders

 - Drive offer process - including extending offers, negotiations, closing candidates, and generating offer letters

 - Consistently generate a healthy pipeline of quality candidate by driving innovative initiatives across employer branding, virtual & in person (when safe) events, and employee referral channels
